Parenting: do what suits you (and your child)

October 23, 2018

When I was pregnant with my first born, Eden, I had such high hopes that I would be that wanderlusting mum with a new born, taking him wherever I go.

But to my dismay, it didn’t go according to plan.

‘Why?’
Well, Eden has eczema.

‘So?’
He won’t enjoy traveling as much as I will until it subsides.

‘Other people can jua...’
.
.
.
Why has this stopped me?
I realised that it’s not just about what I WANT to be as a mother but it’s also about how should I ADAPT myself as the mother to my child.

- A child who has his own personality, needs and wants.

New parents out there, don’t beat yourself up too much when things are not going to plan.

Don’t compare yourself with others.

Do what suits your overall situation in terms of family relationships and MOST IMPORTANTLY during this era, your family’s financial capabilities .

The secret to having it all is knowing that you already do <3
