Forever daddy's little girl
On 18th Nov 2016, was the start of a new beginning, that I have became a wife.
We had been waiting for this moment and everything was just how I imagined it to be.
I had my dream wedding dress, my dream bouquet, the venue I always dreamt to be solomenized and most importantly, to be married to the man of my dreams.
I thought that the moment I would break into tears was when my significant other vowed his wedding words to our Imam.
The moment I tried to utter my father's name as I read through a 'permission slip', there it was. I teared up, hard.
To be a wife, I was ever so ready.
But I wasn't ready to let go of my dad as my responsible caretaker since I was a young child up to this moment.
My dad calmly said, ' Be strong, Lai'.
It was time to let him pass on his full responsibility in taking care of his daughter's well being, to the man he has faith in, my love, now, my husband.
No matter what, I will always be daddy's little girl.
